Looking for Something Special?

At AKMP adult groups have the opportunity to craft visits that meet particular interests. Skilled staff lead tours of current exhibitions, beginning with the dramatic Experience Philadelphia! orientation gallery. Should a group want to focus upon a collection or era in Philadelphia history, opportunities can be created to bring objects from collection storage for a curatorial discussion. A catering service is available for refreshments. The Museum Book Store features one of the most extensive inventories of Philadelphia history publications along with souvenir items. AKMP has street level access to Experience Philadelphia! and an elevator to additional galleries and restrooms. Because AKMP is located in a historic building, however, it is advisable to discuss access needs when making a reservation.
