Conversations: Fading Ads of Philadelphia

Philadelphianative, designer and author Lawrence O’Toole will discuss his publication Fading Ads of Philadelphia; a beautifully illustrated book which exploresPhiladelphia’s hidden history through fading advertisements within the city’s landscape. The discussion will explore how ads, divided by neighborhoods, are artifacts of businesses and pieces of Philadelphia’s past, specifically from the late 1800s to the 1960s.
